Qualifications

  • Rebekah holds a doctorate in coaching (2012) including coaching teams.
  • She has a level 5 professional diploma in sports massage and soft tissue rehabilitation, the highest qualification of its type in the UK from the London School of Sports Massage (2012).
  • She has a level 3 diplomas in hot and cold stones (2022), on-site massage (2007), holistic massage (2006), anatomy (2005), and sports massage (2007); Trade Guild diplomas in Indian head massage (2022) and blending oils (2022).
  • She has a level 4 higher diploma in nutrition passed with honours from the Royal Society of Public Health (2010).
  • She is certified to apply Kinesio taping (2019).
  • Rebekah undertakes continuing professional development every year. Recent additions have included certified training in: counselling; mental health awareness, and first aid (2021); mindfulness coaching (2022); various webinars and seminars.
  • Rebekah is a former member of the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine, and the British Voice Association. She attended seminars at BAPAM on mental health, anxiety and performance (2017), the professional voice (2017) plus others on pianists wrists, dancers legs and the health of circus performers.
  • She has attended cadaver study days at Imperial College London (2011).
  • Attendance at various courses run by the Royal Society of Medicine including sleep (2016), sports injuries (2017), musculoskeletal examination (2019), promoting healthy diet and lifestyle (2019).
  • Rebekah’s professional body is the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage, and she adheres to their codes of conduct and ethics, and insurance.

Experience

  • As a practitioner, Rebekah has a busy private clinic for clients from diverse backgrounds from pianists to plumbers, dancers to decorators, and company directors to farmers. She has run her own private healthcare practice since 2016.
  • Rebekah gained associate tutor status at the University of Chester to run a postgraduate diploma course in wellbeing in the workplace.
  • Rebekah has written staff wellbeing handbooks for companies.
  • She has worked with various businesses on ergonomics, from office based workers such as solicitors and accountants, to drivers, mechanics and engineers.
